Most of my clients find me because they’re searching for a work-life balance coach.
What they’re really craving, though, is something deeper than balance.
They want presence.
They want permission to breathe.
They want to shut off their brain without guilt.
To lead at work without carrying the weight home.
To love their life without apologizing for their ambition.
I call that work-life harmony.
Because balance implies a perfect split. Harmony creates rhythm.
Balance forces control. Harmony allows flow.
My coaching approach uses brain-based tools to help you retrain your nerve system so your body knows how to rest, your mind knows how to refocus, and your life finally feels like it fits.
This isn’t time management.
It’s biology.
And it works.
Alaska was not on my radar, ever. But when you’re married to a hot guy who says, “What do you think about Alaska?” you lean in. I said, “Sure, babe. If you're going... we’re going too. Let’s give it a whirl.” Little did I know what God had in store for us when the 49th state became our home.
Ben accepted the demanding position as Mining Division Manager with Alaska Interstate Construction, and suddenly Samson, Mycah , and I were dropped into a world we had zero experience with. We had never hunted. Never fished. Definitely never lived anything close to an Alaskan lifestyle.
Ben, on the other hand, he grew up in Oregon where hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and fixing all the things were normal. Alaska gave him a chance to relive his childhood… just amplified X 10.
I’m forever grateful I said yes, to being his bride and to starting our story in The Last Frontier.
Now, as one of the leading coaching consultants in the US, I help professionals create space for both ambition and alignment. My focus is on work-life balance coaching for professionals, especially those navigating high-stress seasons or growing careers.
We don’t call it “farm to table” up here. We just call it life.
Hunting and fishing are more than hobbies. They’re how we feed our family, stay grounded, and stay connected to something bigger than ourselves.
There’s something deeply satisfying about knowing exactly where your meat came from because you were the one who took the shot, gave thanks, and packed it out.
I’m thankful we live in a state where subsistence isn’t just allowed, it’s respected. We honor the process. From field to freezer. From ocean to oven.
I know some people flinch at the idea of hunting. And I get it, until you’ve experienced it for yourself, it’s hard to explain the reverence behind it.
But I’ll tell you this: when you’ve glassed an animal, felt the gravity of the moment…when you’ve carried that weight, literally and emotionally, you understand what it means to provide.
I’ve watched our kids field dress a moose before they could drive. I’ve seen their respect for the land grow with every fishing trip and every season opener.
Ruggedly Sophisticated
I can field dress a moose and host a dinner party in the same day. One calls for precision. The other calls for presence. Both reflect the life I’ve chosen.
The warmth of our ‘People Heater’ giant woodstove creates a candlelight-like glow…romance, cabin-style. Our days are filled with both grit and elegance, not in competition, but in rhythm.
We run businesses from homes built with our own hands. We’ve built a life we’re proud to wake up to and share with others.
Ruggedly Sophisticated was birthed out of both grit and grace. It means honoring strength while living in our cherished femininity too. It means creating beauty while living in the raw and wild.
There’s no need to shrink or choose between roles. This version of womanhood holds both, the power and the polish. It’s intentional. It’s expansive. And it’s a perfect fit for me!
Along the way, I witnessed firsthand the benefits of working with a life coach for women. Not just in productivity or performance, but in reclaiming joy, inner alignment, and clarity in leadership.
This is what fuels my work in personal growth coaching and lifestyle coaching for high-performing women. A deep belief that you don’t have to choose between strength and softness, between hustle and wholeness.
Off-Grid Life
Ben and I bought our fabulous off-grid “compound” because it aligned with our plans for retirement. Our retirement dreams center on being extremely active, healthy, living off the land, and adventurous while enjoying magical moments with our family and friends. We also knew that we wanted to have all of our Golden Years “toys and tools” paid for when we choose to stop logging 40+ hours of work every week.
For us, living off-grid also checks the box of lowered financial responsibility during our retired life, affording us the time, energy, and money for our kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren.
Little did we know when we bought our place back in 2021 that we would learn so much about each other, survival AND so much more. We love our remote retreat and hope to welcome you one day soon. land grow with every fishing trip and every season opener.
